the concept of  META
Meta, A Mallett Company, was founded in 2006 and sets a new standard for contemporary design, combining 18th century knowledge with a 21st century aesthetic. For Meta, leading designers create timeless contemporary objects and furniture of exceptional quality, working with master craftsmen and artisans from around the world. In 2007, Heritage was asked by Meta to collaborate with world re-known designer Matali Crasset and create the highly acclaimed "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" Lantern.

the challenge of  PAKTONG
If 40 pieces at 102 different angles was not challenging enough, Crasset wished to use cast Paktong, a non-tarnishing 18th century alloy. The lantern boasts a hollow chain for hidden electrification and hand-blown glass panes discretely mounted. Heritage may be the only company in the world creating objects from cast Paktong.

our ACHIEVEMENT
While accolades and compliments are nice, the true measure of success is that Heritage was asked to create two additional styles - a ¾ size lantern and companion wall lanterns, pictured here. All three designs have been well received and delivery on these hand-made gems can be 6 months or more.
